Bill Brereton has welcomed the Coalition Government's Budget, which delivers the key Liberal Democrat manifesto commitment of cutting taxes for those on low and middle incomes and raising the poorest workers out of paying Income Tax altogether.
The Budget also scraps Labour's planned fuel duty rise, gives real help for local businesses and creates thousands more apprenticeships.
Commenting, Bill said:
"This Budget shows the huge difference Liberal Democrats are making in Government.
"I am proud the Liberal Democrats are cutting taxes for55, 000 people in Wrexham. This policy has gone from the front page of our manifesto to the pockets of thousands of people across Wales.
"From next month, people in Wrexham and Clwyd South will get a £200 tax cut and today's announcement means another £136 back in pockets next year.
"Liberal Democrats in Government have also given families real help by scrapping Labour's fuel duty rise and set out a range of policies to help pensioners and first-time buyers, boost jobs and create apprenticeships."
