Last Friday I was at the Mosque in Grosvenor Road talking to people who had gone there to pray.
I know that many are deeply troubled over events in Libya. Some are Libyans and have family and friends in danger there.
It is a nightmare scenario for a state to turn its war machine on its own people. This sadly is a reality.
The efforts of our British armed forces and the dangers that they face should not be underestimated.
As a former Royal Marine I know that any military operation carries dangers - made much worse by Gaddafi using his own people as human shields for his own cruel purposes.
I wish our friends in Libya a speedy end to the dictatorship, and our armed forces the courage and determination in the difficult decisions that they face.
